Client Site Description: Professional Website

Template Chosen: Maple

Why did you choose that template?: I knew that Maple is in the Brine family, and very flexible. I knew I could customize Maple quickly and effectively, by adding design touches the customer was looking for, and could pull together a

What was the Client's Objective?: Their main goal is to clean up their existing template (Bedford), add in some pretty design, and provide easy access to their services. They want their clients to know what they are about and then head to their services to get more information about therapy and workshops. Also, to add in clean lines and brightness with images, fresh colors, hope/growth oriented in the design!

Tell us a bit about the design process?: After my initial consultation and questionnaire, I went ahead and switched their template from Bedford to Maple, which I thought would offer more features and flexibility. They already had some amazing photos, and I had done their brand design, so I went right to work adding in their photography where it made sense, reorganizing the page structure and navigation menu, and also adding in some pretty graphics that I designed that would serve as a call to action for their services.

How did you help the client differentiate their business through design?: I think these 2 women who have branched out on their own to own their own therapy business are pioneers in their field. I feel I helped them convey their brand message with calming colors, and incorporating the olive branch throughout their website design. I highlighted their story and helped them pull all of their information together in a cohesive way.

Is there custom development? What about custom added CSS? Can you tell us why you did or did not use these edits?: I did use some CSS throughout to help keep their brand fonts and colors consistent, added colors to index pages, as well as use their brand colors for their social media icons in the footer, and on their contact form.

What are the top three creative features you used in the design?: Creating call-to-action icons in Photoshop and incorporating those on the home page. Creating an olive leaf texture on the home page, and creative use of their photos and story on the About page.

Anything else you want us to know about the site?: Overall I just love the calming feel of the site, and even more happy that my clients love it!
