Site Showcase: Healing Vibes Esthetics

Client's Site Description: Esthetician Professional Website

Template Chosen: Moksha

Why did you choose that template?: I chose this template for the flexibility of the Brine family, the stackable index pages, and the header was already laid out in the centered style that we wanted.

What was the Client's Objective?: Our objective for this site is to attract new local business, explain the services that Healing Vibes provides and link to the online booking system.

Tell us a bit about the design process?: We started by designing the Healing Vibes logo and knew that we wanted to incorporate a lotus flower and touches of gold. Once the logo and color palette was designed, we dove into the web design to create the rest of the brand look + feel.

We brought the site to life by creating a few signature colored marble textures that make for great backgrounds to separate each section of the long scrolling pages.

How did you help the client differentiate their business through design?: If you look around at other business providing spa-type services, none of them really stand out and many of them are out dated + hard to use. We strived to set Healing Vibes apart with a stunning design and site structure that is easy to find what you’re looking for.

And as a designers, I desperately wanted to avoid cheesy stock photography of smiling people getting facials. Which I think we accomplished by curating the photos and adding a custom filter to them.

Is there custom development? What about custom added CSS? Can you tell us why you did or did not use these edits?: There’s a bit of custom CSS to tweak a few things like padding and font styles, but overall it’s far less than is usually required.

What are the top three creative features you used in the design?:

1. The use of bold, beautiful jewel tones in the color palette help it to stand out from other spa services.

2. Incorporating the gold geometric shapes over photos and as a background pattern gave us a great brand element to carry throughout the entire site.

3. Since we didn’t have custom photos to work with, we creatively used stock photos in a way doesn’t come off as cheesy and still feels sophisticated.

Anything else you want us to know about the site?: Healing Vibes had previously used Wordpress and when I trained her on how to use her new site, she couldn’t believe how much more intuitive and easy their backend was. I’m so happy that I could provide her with a beautifully branded website that she is excited about and can maintain herself!
