I have been DYING to show you all this site, because well... with SQSP Themes SideBar Plugin + Brine we now have the potential for an incredibly dynamic site! I was so excited to implement this plugin, and so great it fit perfectly into this client's design scheme. Can you say perfect template with this addition!?

Squarespace Site Showcase Hearsay PR on the Brine Template - Blog and Public Relations Website

Template Chosen: Brine

Why did you choose that template?: We chose the Brine template so that we could have really dynamic header and layout. KJ the awesome owner of HearsayPR really wanted to kick up the design of her site, to make it really dynamic and interesting, not just branded. So we did that by using multiple layout styles and types using indexes and galleries on Brine. We also knew that KJ is an great writer and blogger so a great blog was a MUST-HAVE. We decided to use the sidebar plugin for her blog so that she could have side-navigation!

What was the Client's Objective?: To create a branded, and dynamic site that she could host her services, ecommerce for digitals + services as well as blog.

Tell us a bit about the design process?: Working with Dropcap Design who was responsible for the Branding Design is always great. Kadie is an incredible designer who makes sure to tick every box. So we were able to dig right into the web design. We did a little stock-photo searching via a few different sites to pull together a group that matched together, and then went into the mockup process. From there it was super easy!

How did you help the client differentiate their business through design?: It was important that the site really make an impact. We are talking about Public Relations, and one from an amazing PR woman with incredible entrepreneurial skills and boss-lady amazingness, so the site needed PUNCH just like she has!

Is there custom development? What about custom added CSS? Can you tell us why you did or did not use these edits?: We did a lot of CSS but also added a sidebar from plugin! We did a good amount of things to match intro sections to banners so they would look identical from section to section.

What are the top three creative features you used in the design?: My favorite CSS addition was the gold arrow and overlay design we added to the poster block, which allows her to create these great menu sections on the site. Super easy to edit, change up and keep a great branded look!
