Site Showcase: Narrative Creative

This is where form meets function. Marvel at the audaciously bold banner constructed with geometric forms and streamlined functionality.

Client Site Description: Professional Website

Template Chosen: Fairfield

Why did you choose that template?: I almost exclusively work with the Brine template family because of it's flexibility and this version of the template had fonts that were closest to the ones we wanted to work with.

What was the Client's Objective?: Our main objective was to present and explain their services in a way that makes sense and makes people want to work with them.

Tell us a bit about the design process?: We started by organizing the information on their original site and streamlining it to make more sense. Because they offer 3 very different services, we wanted to put them front in center to let people know the different things they could do with Narrative. We did a mood board as well and figured out that we wanted to do a modern twist on mid-century style and feature big, bold headlines to draw attention.

How did you help the client differentiate their business through design?: The main feature we created was a beautiful art deco style banner with geometric shapes that we could use throughout the site. That, paired with a retro color palette immediately shows you that this business has style.

Is there custom development? What about custom added CSS? Can you tell us why you did or did not use these edits?: Surprisingly we didn't use any custom CSS, but did use an anchor link down to the FAQ section to help with usability.

What are the top three creative features you used in the design?: 1. Using a gallery block over the main banner to feature the 3 service graphics and make them clickable.

2. Big, bold typography to establish hierarchy

3. Utilizing gallery pages as service portfolios so we could pull in a summary on the service page
