Tell us a bit about the design process?: Kara was amazing to work with in that her vision for the site was creative, forward-thinking and female-driven. We wanted the visuals to hint at scientific processes, technology and spirituality.
How did you help the client differentiate their business through design?: We pulled in strong imagery across the site help punctuate bold layouts. I focused on laying out the content in a way that used strong 'white' space. My goal was to keep the flow easy to follow, minimal, and with a layout that breaks away from the 1 column in the center or 2 column traditional layouts.
Is there custom development? What about custom added CSS? Can you tell us why you did or did not use these edits?: For sure! On this site, I worked with CSS & a few HTML tweaks to add in the scrolling text, background images and more heading style variations. I also gave a few subtle hover effects and styled the form block to be less 'squarespace'.
What are the top three creative features you used in the design?: In this project, I focused on the overall layout, sourcing and creating unique, on-brand, images, and CSS edits to bring in interesting typographic details.
