Client's Site Description: Professional Website

Template Chosen: Mercer

Why did you choose that template?: Sian has so many beautiful images that have been taken in the most beautiful parts of the world. I wanted to show off as as many as possible with the parallax scrolling feature. Particularly the homepage.

What was the Client's Objective?: Sian wanted a the wow factor for her website and to imbue a sense of yogic authority. Also a place where people can book her regular retreats and workshops.

Tell us a bit about the design process?: Research was a huge part of this project, particularly when were were integrating the booking system. We tried a few different platforms and through trial error we ended up choosing Acuity Scheduling. High on the priority list was a system that kept people on the website rather than taking them to a third party domain and at the same time made the booking experience seamless.

Sian also has an architectural background so it was very easy to communicate all things design wise.

For every web project i provide a very detailed questionnaire which helps establish most of my client's website needs. This is an integral part of the design process for me.

How did you help the client differentiate their business through design?: Imagery played a huge part of the design process. I spent a lot of time editing images to give thewebsite a nature feel by using lots of green hues. I wanted to create a digital space that felt peaceful and positive so i was conscious about spacing and leaving breathing room on each page.

Is there custom development? What about custom added CSS? Can you tell us why you did or did not use these edits?: There is custom css throughout the site. Mainly to keep consistency with brand's colour palette and typography. I also used custom code to make the integration with Acuity scheduling seamless

What are the top three creative features you used in the design?: Filters Filters Filters lol

Anything else you want us to know about the site?:

Vendors used?: Sian used a number of photographers and provided the images herself. She also provided the copy.
